Cheap vacation?

I’ve never been out of the country. I only go on a vacation everyother summer. I usually I stay in the state of Wisconsin when on vacation. I really want to go somewhere nice. I can’t aford too long of a trip or anything big like Florida or Hawaii. Leaving the country to another continent is also not an opsion because of the price. wheres a nice but not too expensive place to take a family of six?
