In need of cheap romantic vacation ideas for my husband and myself within driving distance of Chicago. We would like to go somewhere that’s pretty, has some fun things to do, offers secluded cabin rentals for our anniversary. Please give us some ideas. We are lost on ideas or places to go to. THank you.

    I once stayed outside St. Paul, MN on a really pretty lake. Not too expensive, pretty views, and only a few hours from Chicago.

    Lake Geneva in Wisconson, is a great cheap vacation area. It’s about 45 minutes from the Chicagoland area and it has something for everyone. I’m not sure if they have cabins for rent, but you never know. It is better to go when it’s warm so you can go to the beach.

    Cumberland Falls located in Southeastern KY is real nice.
